What Is a Passkey?
A Passkey is a digital authentication method that users can use instead of passwords for their accounts on apps or websites. It offers a simpler and more secure way to verify identity, typically through biometrics (such as fingerprint or facial recognition) or security keys.
Advantages of Using Passkeys
Passkeys remove the vulnerabilities of passwords and enable users to authenticate quickly and securely using biometrics or security keys.
They offer a fast and seamless user experience, eliminating issues like forgotten passwords.
Additionally, passkeys strengthen account security against phishing attacks.
How to Use a Passkey on BtcTurk | Global?
- Navigate to Account → Security → Security Center on BtcTurk | Global.
- Click the “Use” button next to the Passkey tab.
- Select “Add Passkey” to start the email verification process. Enter the verification code sent to your registered email address in the designated field.
- On the next screen, follow the instructions on your device to register your biometric data—either facial recognition or fingerprint—so that it matches your profile.
- Once biometric verification is completed, your Passkey will be added.
- You can now log in to your BtcTurk | Global account using your Passkey instead of a password.
- To manage your Passkeys, click the edit icon next to a Passkey to modify or delete it.
