Pairs Scale (Quantity/Price)

Each pair limits how many decimal places quantities and prices can have. Read the limits from Get Exchange Info (/api/v2/server/exchangeinfo):

  • numeratorScale is the maximum number of decimals for quantity in the base asset.
  • denominatorScale is the maximum number of decimals for price in the quote asset. It also applies to quantity on market buy orders, where quantity is the quote amount to spend.

Example (BTCUSDT): numeratorScale is 8 and denominatorScale is 0, so quantity 0.00012345 and price 85400 are valid, while price 85400.5 returns FAILED_INVALID_PRICE_SCALE (1126). A market buy with quantity 12.5 (USDT) returns FAILED_INVALID_QUANTITY_SCALE (1127).
