Reduced selling around the $85,000 level supported the move, with Bitcoin testing the $87,000 area during the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selling pressure increased again later in the week. Bitcoin briefly fell below $84,000 on October 6 and is trading around $83,000 as of the morning of October 8. Following the gains seen earlier in the week, Bitcoin has pulled back to the $83,000\u2013$84,000 range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Spot_Bitcoin_ETFs_Start_October_With_Net_Inflows\"><\/span>Spot Bitcoin ETFs Start October With Net Inflows<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs ended September with $2.65 billion in net inflows. This marked one of the highest monthly inflows since October 2025, indicating stronger institutional demand during September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the first trading day of October, spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $102.7 million in net inflows. Daily inflows and outflows were more balanced over the rest of the week, with overall flows remaining more limited following the strong ETF demand seen in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Corporate_Bitcoin_Holdings_Continue_to_Grow\"><\/span>Corporate Bitcoin Holdings Continue to Grow<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Strategy purchased an additional 334 Bitcoin between September 28 and October 4 for approximately $28.7 million. The purchase brought the company\u2019s total Bitcoin holdings to 848,000 BTC. At the time the purchase was announced, Strategy\u2019s Bitcoin holdings were valued at approximately $73 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Strive also purchased 2,000 Bitcoin for approximately $169 million, marking its largest Bitcoin purchase since June. The acquisition brought the company\u2019s total Bitcoin holdings to 29,462 BTC. The latest purchases by both companies indicate that the trend of expanding corporate Bitcoin holdings continued into the first week of October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"SEC_Proposes_New_Crypto_Custody_Framework\"><\/span>SEC Proposes New Crypto Custody Framework<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission proposed a new framework for the custody of crypto assets by investment advisers and regulated funds. The proposal aims to allow institutions, under certain conditions, to hold crypto assets through their own custody infrastructure and provide custody services subject to state-level regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If adopted, the proposal could establish a clearer regulatory framework for investment managers and funds to directly custody crypto assets, including Bitcoin.
